A Message from the Castro Organist

My experience as a frequent recitalist on the famed six-manual Harrah Symphonic Organ in Hurricane, West Virginia, led me to envision a local instrument of comparable magnitude and versatility in a venue where it can be enjoyed by enthusiastic San Francisco audiences on a nightly basis while also serving as an exceptionally versatile concert instrument.

Acclaimed organ builder Allen Harrah, the recognized pioneer of hybrid organ technology, has given us a significant advantage by donating countless hours to the design and execution of this instrument. The beautiful seven-manual console controlling 400 digital ranks and two divisions of wind-blown pipes will make us home to the only hybrid organ of these proportions in the world today.

The stunning new console is completed! See photos on the News page.
